- June 7 - Doc says the trach is coming out tomorrow -- K is pretty sure that will hurt so she asks for your prayers
- June 8 - K is doing well with out the trach - she is enjoying all your cards and letters and can't wait to start replying
- June 9 - K finally got to eat solid food and have a drink of water! Ham and cheese with fries for lunch. Also got a trip outside but the heat kept it short.

- June 14 - K is still enjoying lots of visitors and doing great in therapy
- June 15 - Due to incredibly nice weather K got to spend a lot of time outside enjoying the warm fresh summer air
- June 16 - A lovely Harry & David gift basket (Thanks Kim!) made an exciting OT exercise of unwrapping & K got hoisted in to bed with a cherry picker (to minimize the pain).
- June 17
- June 18 - K got to go on a fishing outing -- stop by her room and see the picture of her with one of the four fish that she caught!
- June 19-20 - Saturday was a usual day of therapy and visitors, but on Sunday K had to stay in bed -- missing a trip to the Botanical Gardens -- because her halo is out of whack (Doc will fix Monday).
- June 21 - Karen's halo is fixed and she is right back in the swing of things, still in great spirits and an inspiration to us all.

- June 24 - K dressed herself this morning (pants, socks, shoes and all). She also got her brace adjusted (since she's losing weight), which left her in pain, but she still went full steam ahead with therapy.
- June 25 - K had a great visit with Father Dan then had a fun girls night with sister Jill and friends.
- June 26-27 - Karen took a trip to Barnes on Saturday to eat lunch then had a pizza date with Tim that night. Sunday was a quiet day with family.
- June 28 - Another brace adjustment meant therapy was a little painful, but that didn't stop wonder woman. She then had a special dinner downstairs in the cafeteria with her recreation therapy group.
- June 29
- June 30 - A usual day of therapy and visitors with trips downstairs for website viewing and dinner in the cafeteria.
